is simple but exciting, I think. Enjoy!
“And Asa (the king) cried unto the Lord his God, and said,
‘Oh Lord, it is nothing with Thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O Lord our God, for we rest on Thee, and in Thy name we go against this multitude. O Lord, thou art our God; let not man prevail against Thee.’
[So the Lord smote the Ethiopians before Asa, and before Judah, and the Ethiopians fled.]”
2 Chron. 14:11-12
By way of explanation, the Ethiopians had 1,000,000 in their army to Asa’s 580,000. I like that Asa declares God’s power, notes his need for God to show up, and asks God to glorify Himself (let no one prevail against Him).
