Our Father – Prayer and community in a POW camp from a guy who lived it

Into the Desert– An hour long video* about the journey of an Anglican vicar into the desert provides a peek into the life of a hermit.  It’s an interesting reminder that solitude may be a tool for spiritual growth, but it certainly doesn’t guarantee it.  I did find this quote interesting:

There is no distraction; there is no escape.

Which makes me wonder…how does distraction function as escape for me?  What do I escape through distraction?  And…what is the cost?

My Utmost for His Highest- “Eternal Life has nothing to do with Time, it is the life which Jesus lived when He was down here…We have to keep letting go, and slowly and surely the great full life of God will invade us in every part, and men will take knowledge of us that we have been with Jesus.”
